About 'Remember Who You Are'

Radom is a city in east-central Poland where my Mum is from. This song contains the pure love I have for her. She is my biggest supporter, best friend and inspiration.

Fatherland is a nod to my Jamaican Dad. A ‘character’ for sure, and whilst not the most committed family man, a very important person in my life. The music I listen to most is reggae and dub so I wanted to combine it with my cello playing.

XXs is about my ex boyfriends.

Anxiety Disorder is going back to a very difficult period during my years as a student. From the age of 17 I suffered with terrible OCD til I was about 24. Sometimes my hands bled from over washing and I couldn’t leave the house for long periods of time. Lots of therapy and all good now!

5 min mediation - online guided meditations really help me relax when feeling anxious so I wanted to create one going through the circle of fifths

Teenage Dreams is about my love for rave culture. The poem in the middle is about an ex. Thinking about the fine line between pain and pleasure would apply to both.

Sisterhood is a feel good song about my current state of mind. I wanted to evoke an early noughties nostalgia (my early years)

Zara Hudson-Kozdoj is a Polish-Jamaican cellist, composer and conductor. Born and bred in North London, she was awarded a scholarship and bursary to study at the Royal College of Music where she completed both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Cello Performance and Conducting. This summer she completed a residency at Studio Richter-Mahr (an opportunity given to her by Max Richter and Yulia Mahr for emerging artists) where she recorded her debut album. The album encompasses many genres and styles that have influenced her throughout her life and can be thought of as a soundtrack to her experiences. The album is being released by Platoon (Apple inc), and live shows are being booked from 2025.Alongside her solo work, Zara is part of Max Richter’s live and recording band and is part of Celeste’s band, as well as playing regularly with Chineke! Orchestra and the London Contemporary Orchestra. She has performed at The Royal Albert Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Barbican, Union Chapel, Rough Trade, Glastonbury, Village Underground, The Roundhouse and has toured extensively around Europe playing major concert halls."Avantgarde pop artist Carolina Cury brings together her classical roots into genre-defying soundscapes. Italian-Brazilian and based in London, her music drifts between intimacy and theatrical flair, shaped by years at the piano and international stages. With a voice that carries vulnerability and strength, she’s crafting her next chapter - two new albums coming up, including a collaboration with Max Richter.
