Training: Alcohol Awareness
Date: Tuesday 10th June 2025
Times: 1:00PM – 3:00PM

This will be a 2-hour awareness session of what alcohol is and the impact it can have on a person. How we can identify and support our clients that present with alcohol concerns or dependence.
This training session will be a mix of information delivery and group discussion.
- To understand what alcohol is
- To be aware of the mental and physical effects of alcohol
- Gain awareness of Foetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS)
- To be aware of harm reduction
*Requirements*
- You must be an Islington resident, or working/volunteering with Islington residents to attend this session
- Ability to attend the training either at home or in a quiet place without distractions.
- A working camera and microphone/headset are a necessity. It is your responsibility to ensure these devices are working prior to the training. We do not allow two or more members of a team to share a computer or device.
- 2 hours to be taken off from your daily duties as we require your full attendance (including verbal check out) to count as completing the training.
- To conduct yourself as if the training were taking place in person, wear appropriate clothing, refrain from eating or employing the use of vapes and ability to mute your microphone when not speaking to prevent background noise.
