Event description

Description

Do you care about the UK’s role in helping the world’s poorest people stand on their own two feet? Are you proud of the impact that UK aid is having around the world, providing lifesaving vaccines, clean water and humanitarian assistance? Are you tired of the same critical headlines about the good work UK aid is doing in the world? Concerned the public debate has become skewed towards those who want to put an end to the aid budget?

Want to do something about it, but not sure what?

We’re looking for people like you to join a local project aimed at starting a conversation to change the public debate about UK aid in your community. You’ll be given training that equips you with the facts and the tools to help you run campaigns in your community. But we need your ideas and stories about how we can get the conversation started in Aldershot, you’ll know better than us!

We’re inviting supporters from across a group of charities to hear from you about what we can do, so it’s a fantastic opportunity to meet some like-minded people. Why not bring some friends along too, the more the merrier!

This event is your chance to learn more about the project, and how you can play your part, but you’re under no obligation to get involved. We’re excited to meet you and build momentum towards support for UK aid.
