Alex Milway – Hotel Flamingo: Frosty Fiesta

Winter has arrived at Hotel Flamingo! The snow is falling heavily, and while it's usually a quiet time of year for Anna and her animal hotel, this year is shaping up a little differently. The hotel is inundated with guests taking part in the Winter Whiteout Olympics, and Anna and her team need to contend with the demands of a whole host of new guests from penguins to polar bears to arctic foxes. On top of this, long-term resident Mrs Turpington is preparing for her winter hibernation along with her fellow long-sleepers, and is expecting a party to be held for them - but can it go ahead when Hotel Flamingo is snowed in? Anna and her team will have to pull out all the stops to pull off the most magical frosty fiesta that Animal Boulevard has ever seen!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Alex Milway is a full-time children's books author-illustrator and screenwriter. His books include Pigsticks and Harold (Walker Books) and the Hotel Flamingo and Big Sky Mountain series (Piccadilly). He is the founder of the This Book Is Funny! children's book scheme working with schools and libraries and has huge experience running children's workshops around the UK, in China and the US.

This event is a family event aimed at Key Stage 1 pupils (5 - 7 years old) but is also suitable for some pre-school and older children.
