A visionary architect, Thomson left a unique and lasting mark on Glasgow through his distinctive classical style and innovative building techniques, designing more than 160 tenements, terraces, villas, churches, and commercial buildings ac56ross Glasgow and the west of Scotland.

Biography

Dominic d’Angelo is Chair of The Alexander Thomson Society, writes a free-to-access weekly Substack on aspects of Thomson’s life and work, and is currently leading a weekly programme of talks and films at the Mitchell Library on aspects of Glasgow’s history as part of Glasgow 850.
