Alexandra Durnford In Conversation With David Morley

Please note: This event is open to Meyler Campbell Connected members only (current Mastered Students or Alumni).

Virtual Connecting: Following this webinar, there will be an extra 30 minutes added to the session for an opportunity to virtually connect with your fellow attendees.

What does it take to create a top-quality podcast? What are the realities of producing a podcast? Meyler Campbell Faculty Member Alexandra Durnford will interview Meyler Campbell Alumnus David Morley about his successful podcast: Leading Professional People. Alongside his colleague, Laura Empson, Leading Professional People uncovers complicated, messy, and emotional challenges of leading professionals; and according to their producers, Leading Professional People is now within the top 10% of all podcasts listened to worldwide.

Alexandra will discuss with David about what it takes to produce a top-quality podcast and the realities involved in designing and producing the content. David will also share his top-tips with budding podcasters in the community.

David Morley led global law firm Allen & Overy 2003-2016. Under his leadership, the firm expanded internationally, and revenues doubled from £652 million in 2004 to £1.31 billion in 2016. Profits increased by 175% in the same period. David left Allen & Overy in 2016 after 36 years. He went on to chair private equity firm Elaghmore & a litigation finance business as well as growing his own consulting business. More recently, earlier this year he was appointed Head of Europe for global investment firm CDPQ, the second largest Canadian pension fund manager with C$365bn under management.

Alexandra Durnford has over twenty years of experience in issues, crisis and reputation management. She is now an executive coach and mediator. She works with entrepreneurs, boards, CEOs and senior leaders in media, healthcare, and professional services on improving inter-personal relationships, developing emotional intelligence and conflict resolution.
