Rae McGrath on Developing Resilience in Children and Adults
This talk will explore what we mean by resilience and how it develops in children. Resilience expert Rae McGrath will highlight the factors that prevent children from developing resilience and the elements that need to be present in an individual’s life in order for their natural resilience to emerge. She will also share ways that adults can develop and enhance their resilience, enabling you to walk away with tangeble strategies.
Australian born Rae McGrath, has lived in the UK since she was 20, dedicating the last 5 years following developments in resilience research and is researching the impact of story telling on resilience and recovery. She has a post graduate diploma in psychotherapy and a Masters in Organisational Behaviour, spending her career working in Prevention and Early Intervention Services for Children and Young People.
