To understand the role of short term orthodontics and aligner therapy as a stand alone treatment to improve the smile or in conjunction with other restorative procedures and why it should always be considered when a patient is embarking on a journey of aesthetic dentistry.

• Treatment planning tips to deliver treatment safely and in line with expectations of the modern patient

Angela will aim provide you with a 12 point do’s and don’t checklist that will help navigate you to:

• identify patients who are suitable for short term orthodontics,

• take digital records efficiently

• understand how the occlusion affects the final tooth positioning

• treatment plan for predictable and safe tooth movement including staging for Clinchecks

• consider the occlusion and other biological factors

• consider the risks of STO

• understand successful retention regimes

About the Speaker -Dr. Angela Auluck

Angela Auluck is a Specialist Orthodontist and Director of Dental Rooms, a multi specialist practice in Wimbledon Village.

Angela’s main clinical interest is the use of invisible braces in the treatment of adults and adolescents and how these can be incorporated into everyday specialist practice. Dental Rooms provides her with the perfect platform to provide first class treatment to patients using appliances that are at the forefront of technological and aesthetic advances.

Angela graduated in 1997 from King's College, London winning the BDS Undergraduate Gold Medal from University of London. She is the recipient of "Recognition of Young Achievers, 1998" held by Her Majesty, The Queen at Buckingham Palace. Her Specialist Orthodontic training was carried out at the Eastman Dental Institute. This year the Dental Rooms won 5 awards at The Private Dentistry Awards , the highest number of awards that any practice has ever won-one of which was for best Practice Principal, won by Angela.

Angela also has a keen interest in postgraduate education and regularly lectures in the field of lingual orthodontics and aligners. She has recently been appointed as Senior Clinical lecturer for Diploma Clear Aligner Therapy at City of London Dental School.

Angela is now treating most cases with aligners and auxillaries such as miniscrews. Her vision is to be able to treat every patient and their malocclusion with aligners.
