We are delighted to welcome renowned wine expert Olly Smith here at Hatchards this evening to discuss his new book “WINE: Everything You Need to Know” in conversation with cheesemonger Michael Finnerty.

Olly explains that we don’t need to be rich or have expert knowledge when it comes to choosing wine, we just need to feel confident. Walking us through the basics of how to choose a bottle of wine, how much to spend and how to taste it, he demystifies the jargon, to tell us you everything we will ever need to know.

This evening we will discover Olly’s top wines to try before we die, as well as his own Ten Commandments of Wine.

Olly will be in conversation with Michael Finnerty, whose book “The Cheese Cure: How Comté and Camembert Fed My Soul” is the perfect complement: an exploration of the senses the modern world forgets to celebrate – taste, touch, smell… and the most enjoyable and fascinating education on all things cheese.
