The Atrium is Furnishing Futures' new retail and events space in Leyton. Furnishing Futures is a registered charity that creates fully furnished, professionally designed trauma-informed homes for survivors who are placed in empty social housing after escaping domestic abuse. The charity partners with the interiors industry, which donates furniture in new condition that could otherwise have gone to landfill and uses this to create beautiful homes from which women and children can rebuild their lives in dignity. Furnishing Futures also provides holistic resettlement support including advice and advocacy; risk assessments and safety plans, and runs a wellbeing and employability programme for survivors called Thrive.
