If you said 'YES PLEASE' to any of the questions above, then JiggleFiit twerk classes are perfect for you. Classes are on Mondays from 7.50pm - 8.50pm at Fitness First, The Strand.

Get ready to move, sweat, and vibe as we work on your twerk techniques. Designed for all levels, it's time practice your twerk technique, learn to dance and embrace the power of joyful expression.

These classes are great for beginners who need some improvement, improvers who want some variety, but mostly for anyone looking to get fit in a fun and inclusive way. If you need a beginner friendly pace with jiggly vibes, then try my beginners class at 6:30pm at Jubilee Hall Gym, Covent Garden.

About the teacher and classes

Hi, I'm Nana. I'm a Level 2 Exercise to Music qualified dance teacher. I teach fun dance fitness classes that celebrate how your body moves and jiggles, not what it looks like! My twerk classes explore the traditional African style called 'Mapouka', which nowadays we call 'twerking'. You'll learn twerk techniques in a safe, fun and inclusive space with a range of music styles from Afrobeats to Dancehall.

My classes encourage movement and celebrate Black culture. At the end of each class we finish on positive affirmations to leave you feeling empowered and energised. At JiggleFiTT we believe that every body deserves to jiggle joyfully and without judgement.

My classes are judgement free zone. Expect positivity and lots of booty shaking.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need twerk experience?

Beginners are more than welcome, but the pace might be a little bit quick. I always go over the basics and encourage you to do your best. I provide modifications so you can go at a pace comfortable for you. I offer a beginner class on Mondays at 6:30pm at Jubilee Hall Gym just around the corner.

Do I need a Fitness First membership?

Nope, just sign in at the desk and they'll show you where the class is.

What if I miss a class?

Not to worry. I can't give refunds 48hrs before class but we can always do class credits, so you can use the class up to the following month. Please see T&C - https://www.thisblackwomancan.com/terms-of-service

What are the benefits of twerking?

Strengthen muscle in just about every part of your body and sculpt, tone and strengthen your glutes. Dancing helps improve balance, flexibility, and coordination. Twerking can boost your confidence and help you appreciate how amazing your body is.

What should I wear?

Whatever you're comfortable in. Avoid tight fitting clothes so you can feel the booty bouncing and jiggling. Free the booty but come comfy. Knee pads are not required unless told otherwise.

How long is the class?

1 hr, arrive from 7:30pm please :-)

Can this class help me with my mental health?

Absolutely! Learning to twerk—or any form of dance—can positively impact mental health in several ways. It releases endorphins, reducing stress and anxiety while boosting mood. The rhythmic, repetitive movements can be grounding and meditative.
