Description
We are 'beyond excited' about the chance to share our love of film in the prestigious surroundings of the Britsh Film Institute, on the South Bank. (Yes, the Britsh Film Institute, on the South Bank!) Many thanks to Mark Reid and 'Sreening Languages' for making this possible.
Our fantastic speakers are all practising teachers who want to spread the word about how film can galvinise the Languages' Classroom. They will share and show ideas which can be applied to all sectors and all languages and as always after our events, there will be things you can put into practice the very next week!
The programme for films being shown at the BFI after our event is here. (e.g. Scorsese's new film 'SILENCE' is at 13:30 and 16:50). It would certainly be a bonus if we could turn this into a social afternoon of going to a matinée together in plush surroundings! [The ALL London website is currently unwell, but when it is better we will update the January Event page and provide bios and downloads.)
AMAZING OFFER! Linguascope is being incredibly generous and has offered to supply a pack of eight books (worth nearly £120) to support teaching films for each delegate. In order to ensure that they go to good homes, and that Linguascope brings the exact number needed, they are charging a nominal £1 and asking you to reserve them in advance. Please place your order here. They must be ordered in advance. Bring a bag for all the goodies you will receive from Linguascope and our other sponsors.
We deliberately keep the costs down in order to encourage as many people as possible to come along and experience the warmth of the ALL family. SPECIAL OFFER: ALL student members and Primary teachers attending our event for the first time will have their fee refunded in full if they attend.
Please book as soon as possible to help our planning. There is a maximum of 130 places. We look forward to seeing you!
