All Together Now - Opening the Digital Door Conference
Date and time
Description
Hosted by the E-COOP - Digital Public Spaces project - funded by Interreg 4c.
This regional event will showcase the digital inclusion initiatives being delivered to engage public users with online services and digital information across Cambridgeshire.
We have 3 confirmed speakers for the day:
Anne Faulkner - Business and Innovation Director for UK online centres
http://www.ukonlinecentres.com/about-us/our-people/item/1085-anne-faulkner.html
Anne's talk is on - Discover, seed and scale: UK online centres as a model for digital public spaces
Ken Banks - Mobile Technologist. Founder of kiwanja.net, FrontlineSMS and Means of Exchange.
Amit's talk is titled - 'AskSARA - online guided advice for independent living'
The ECOOP project is working on 3 themes:
1. The participation of all citizens and stakeholders in digital public spaces and services
2. The role of local authorities, their budgets and the use of volunteers
3. The co-building of services with users
We will be holding workshops based around these themes at this event and these will give attendees a chance to interact and to share knowledge and experience.
As well as speakers and workshops there will also be a chance to see organisations demonstrating the work they're doing with technology to tackle digital exclusion.
