All-Wales Curriculum Conference 2017

A one-day event, sponsored by Cardiff University School of Medicine with the support of Swansea University Medical School and the Academy of Medical Educators, for all those involved in the education of medical and healthcare students and trainees in Wales. An exciting programme of plenaries, workshops and seminars has been planned including
- Facilitating small groups
- Identifying and supporting students in difficulty
- Teaching with patients present
- Teaching medical students one-to-one
- Teaching and learning with other healthcare professionals
Confirmed speakers include: Professor Ian Weeks, Acting Dean of Medicine, Cardiff University School of Medicine; Dr Judith Ibison, educational lead for the personal and professional development theme for the MBBS programme at St George's Hospital, University of London; Professor Nisha Dogra, Professor of Psychiatry Education and an honorary consultant in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Leicester; and Professor Amanda Coffey, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Student Experience & Academic Standards, Cardiff University.
Come and be inspired, excited and refreshed - learn new skills, develop existing skills, network with colleagues and gain new insights into what medical education in Wales is all about.
Registration is free and includes refreshments throughout the day and lunch. Five CPD points apply.
