An overview

This workshop presented by a Food & Drink Forum Technical Manager will give a basic understanding of allergen awareness and allergen management in food manufacturing. Areas discussed on the day will include:

  • Allergen awareness- what are allergens and associated health risk
  • Allergen categories
  • Allergen management policy/procedures- How to control allergens in the food production area.
  • How to carry out allergen risk assessment
  • How to consider allergen risk in HACCP
  • SALSA and BRC requirement for allergen management
  • Allergen labelling requirement
  • Free from claims requirement

Who Should Attend?

Businesses/ Individuals who are new to food technical or food microbiology.

Individuals involved within a technical team or food manufacturing business with limited food microbiological background.

Businesses/ Individuals who wish to expand their knowledge of food microbiology.
