AGENDA

8.30am: Reception and networking

9am-10.30am: Panel discussion and Q&A

10.30am-11am: Networking

Most enduring social issues are complex and interconnected. In the philanthropy field, a growing number of foundations seek change at the level of 'whole systems' rather than individual projects, organisations or interventions. This panel will share emerging approaches, methods, questions and practices to illuminate the opportunities and tensions for philanthropists and foundations.

Speakers include:

  • Julian Corner - CEO Lankelly Chase Foundation and "Systems Change" guest editor
  • Silvia Bastante de Unverhau - Chief Philanthropy Officer, Co-Impact
  • Eva Rehse - Director of Global Greengrants Fund Europe and member of EDGE Funders European Steering Group
  • Charles Keidan - Editor, Alliance magazine (chair)
  • Other speakers to be confirmed.

Questions include:

  • What do we mean by "systems change philanthropy"?
  • How can a systems approach improve practice? What are the ingredients of success?
  • What does "scaling deeply" look like?
  • Does "systems change" need to start from within, or by changing the system of philanthropy itself?

What will I get out of it?

  • Debate the latest issues and trends in philanthropy
  • Get a free copy of Alliance and discuss the special feature with our guest editor
  • Networking and refreshments with philanthropy-sector peers

Who is this for?

  • Foundation staff
  • Philanthropy and social investment professionals
  • Researchers on philanthropy
  • Think tanks
  • Philanthropists
  • Specialist media

Maximum capacity for this venue is 45. All others will be placed on a waiting list, and we will contact you should space become avaialble.
