Description
Allographic has three forms of live event – “Other Voices”, open mic with featured guests every 4th Sunday of the month; “Allographic presents…”, a loose series of events with bigger names from the spoken word scene, and a burgeoning set of workshops for aspirant poets, storytellers, and other writers and performers.

“Sounds, Syllables, and Speed!” – Challenge yourself to write and perform in a new way. led by Amber-Page (free entry, donations taken)
We will look at how alliteration, rhyme and rhythm can be used to give poems energy, power and pace, with writing and performance strategies.
Number of Spaces: 30
Suitable for: age 15-18, adults, wheelchair users, visually impaired people, novice writers, intermediate writers, experienced writers, novice performers, intermediate performers, experienced performers
Materials: pen, paper/ notebook
Entry is free but you will have an opportunity to pay what you think the workshop was worth afterwards. All the money goes to the workshop leader.

Amber-Page was the 2018 Hammer and Tongue Cambridge Champion, and came second in the National Final. Her debut pamphlet, 'Stream-Speaking', was published in 2019 by Allographic. Her poetry is personal, hard-hitting, and sometimes accidentally humorous.
