About this event

Allographic has three forms of live event - our open mic with featured guests every last Sunday of the month; “Allographic presents...”, a loose series of events with bigger names from the spoken word scene, and a burgeoning set of workshops for aspirant poets, storytellers, and other writers and performers.

We will either be having structured workshops (details to follow as each one comes up), or "Write-In"s each week at this time.

What's a Write-In? It's a chance to purely think about, talk about and, most importantly, actually DO some writing. Come with your own project, or seeking inspiration or feedback, drop in at any point in the three hour span, and you'll find some like-minded souls swapping prompts (sometimes from VERY surreal sources) and feedback. Any written artform is fair go, and most prompts work well for prose or poetry (and all sorts of stuff in-between). If you would like to try a particular form, let us know and we'll work it out together if we've never done it before!

Attendees of the workshop should consider putting their new-found skills into practice/ showing off what they've written in the time at our free evening event on the last Sunday of every month, likewise currently on Zoom. And folk at the Write-In will no doubt tell you about other performance and sharing opportunities they know about coming up.
