Overview

A workshop focused on understanding male allyship and tackling violence against women and girls.

Session Outline:


An interactive session to cover the following aims:

  • Understand what the term ‘VAWG’ means and where it comes from​​
  • Understand the impact of VAWG to individuals and communities​​
  • Know the meaning of Misogyny, Masculinity and how to identify it​​
  • Know the meaning of allyship and how to be an ally​​
  • Identify contacts and resources to tackle VAWG​​

Suitable for: Essential for Bexley frontline workers, support staff and those working with vulnerable people, and recommended for all. This workshop is especially important for men, boys, and non-binary people to explore how and why to be an ally, and to learn about the White Ribbon campaign.
