The Lanesborough at London's Hyde Park Corner is proud to present a programme of wine dinners, hosted in partnership with Europe's most distinguished winemakers.
This September, The Lanesborough's Head Sommelier Jules Coppier, a native from the Rhône Alps region himself, presents a four-course wine dinner, showcasing wines of the Rhône Valley, perfectly paired with a seasonal menu of modern British dishes by Executive Chef Shay Cooper.
Embark on a Journey Through the Rhône Valley at The Lanesborough
With roots dating back 300 million years, the Rhône Valley is steeped in history, born from the clash of the Massif Central and the Alps and once flooded by the Mediterranean Sea. The Greeks, followed by the Romans, recognized its rich soils and planted the first vines, laying the foundation for one of the world’s oldest wine regions.
Today, Rhône wines are celebrated for their quality, tradition, and diverse terroirs.
On 18 September, The Lanesborough invites you on an exquisite wine and gastronomic journey along the River Rhône, from its Alpine source to Provence. Discover iconic stops like Condrieu, the birthplace of Syrah in Hermitage, historic Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and the captivating Domaine de Trévallon.

The event will begin with a welcome reception with Fendant de Vétroz, Domaine Germanier, Swiss Rhône, 2023, followed by a four-course menu in The Lanesborough's beautifully presented private dining rooms.
