Forget the usual life drawing class — this is creativity with an alternative twist. Every other Wednesday at The Pig, we’re mixing classic life drawing with burlesque flair, live performers, alt aesthetics, musicians, and a touch of the witchy + weird. Expect the unexpected, and bring your imagination.
This isn’t your typical quiet sketch night — it’s an immersive evening where art collides with music, performance, and alternative culture. All skill levels are welcome — just bare in mind this is an untutored event, so relax, have fun, and enjoy an arty evening with us!

🎸 Our second edition of Alt Life Drawing features none other than local legend Josh Gentle — striking poses with both guitar and drum kit!
Josh is a true staple of the Hastings music scene, playing across a wide spectrum of local favourites including No Quirks, Woodpig, The Ben Maier Band, Harry Randle Marsh Band, Johnny Deptford and more. Beyond performing, he’s also a songwriter and producer, channelling his raw energy into his own project No Quirks. ( https://noquirks.bandcamp.com)
With an unmistakable 90s grunge aesthetic, Josh brings the vibe, the music, and the creative spark that makes him the perfect muse for this session.
🍸 The bar will be open for drinks and there’ll be two breaks throughout the evening to refresh and socialise.
