Description

ALTE is running a two -day course in Managing Examinations for Language Testing Institutions, 18th -19th September 2017, Leuven, Belgium. The course will be taught by Roger Johnson, consultant of ALTE.

Participants are expected to have a professional interest in language testing, and may be employed by an ALTE member or affiliate, though are not expected to have a profound knowledge of the subject area.

Depending on the participants interest, the programme will cover some or all of the following topics. It will focus on principles and practical application of managing language examinations, using examples from Cambridge English Language Assessment as a case study and drawing on the experience of attendees. The course will be tailored as far as possible to meet the requirements of the participants.

  • introducing general principles of managing examinations;
  • understanding the test production process;
  • managing item writers and test material throughout the process;
  • managing examiners and certification material;
  • managing quality and dealing with malpractice;

Tuition fee:

450€: non-members/non-affiliates

350€: ALTE Members and Affiliates

All prices include course materials, lunch is not provided, coffee breaks will be provided twice per day, as per programme of the course. Participants should arrange for their travel arrangements.
