How can we spread wealth more fairly?

Can we have more jobs - even in hard times?

What would make York people's lives better?

York LETS is bringing together key thinkers on these issues in a one-day conference

LETS systems, Timebanks, barter schemes and local currencies  have been used successfully across the world to enable people to maximise their access to goods and services, build their own skills and experience, increase social capital and improve their local communities.

This event aims to bring together creative thinkers, policymakers and York citizens to find innovative ways forward for our city

If you have a great idea to share, or want to learn more about alternatives to £ sterling, or just fancy an inspirational day out with a delicious buffet lunch and free glass of wine - join us!

Morning - talks from:

John Cossham, YorkLETS

Mary Fee, LETSLink UK

Natasha Almond, York Timebank

Susan Murray, The Lewes Pound

Thomas Greco, Beyond Money

Afternoon - round table discussion:

'What will work best for York?'

Beware of the Bull Ltd

No Nonsense.

When you run a charity or a social enterprise, life is full of hoops to jump through. Bidding for funding, planning your next project, evaluating success… all these things can quickly become a red-tape nightmare.

Beware of The Bull can help. We’re here to take care of the paperwork, and let you get on with what you do best. We are experts in writing bids and matching them to likely funders. We can help you budget your project; we can also monitor its success or act as external evaluators.

Beware of the Bull is a social enterprise. After operating costs, all the income we generate is ploughed back into our social objective: helping charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises to be more effective in pursuing their own aims.

Beware of the Bull's trainers are all qualified to at least PTLLS / AET Level 3, and have many years of teaching experience.
