Event description
Participants will explore drawing in a range of alternative approaches, “what is drawing?” and “what is considered, a good drawing? ‘

About this Event

Please note: if you or anyone in your household have any possible Covid 19 symptoms, please do not attend any classes. Thank you for your cooperation

Within this 2-hour workshop participants are asked to explore drawing in a range of alternative approaches, being proposed with the following questions throughout, “what is drawing?” And ultimately, “what is considered, a ‘good’ drawing?” Participants will expand on their understanding of drawing and test the limits of the medium through the introduction of alternative drawing activities. Participants will be encouraged to explore this through the use of (but not limited to) graphite, charcoal, ink, monotype printing and collage. During the workshop participants will look to deconstruct the previous activity, promoting a less precious attitude toward drawing. This in turn will encourage an energised fast paced approach to drawing throughout, with time in between to reflect and discuss initial questions and drawing outcomes.
