In 2017 Althorp is holding a beautiful photographic tribute to the late Diana, Princess of Wales to mark the 20th anniversary. It is fair to say that the story of Althorp is also the story of the Spencer’s, and vice versa. Since the untimely death of Diana, Princess of Wales, Althorp has become known to the world. Explore this wonderful house, discovering beautiful interiors and one of Europe’s finest private collections of furniture, pictures and ceramics. Explore the magnificent park, take a stroll through the remodelled gardens and perhaps take the opportunity to reflect by the peaceful Round Oval Lake, where Diana is laid to rest. DAY 1 - We will travel to our hotel via Stratford upon Avon (during Stratford River Festival) for a late afternoon check in before our evening meal (included in cost). DAY 2 - After a relaxing breakfast, we depart for Northampton and Althorp house with entry included. Later, we board the coach for the homeward journey.
Timings: Leave Leominster 9:00am., Hereford at 9:30am., Ross on Wye at 10:00am. Depart the following day from Althorp at approx. 4:30pm and travel back to Ross at 7:30pm, Hereford at 8:00pm and then Leominster at 8:30pm.
Costs: Including travel with Edwards Coaches, dinner, bed and full English breakfast at the 4-star Mercure Daventry Court Hotel & Spa. Entry into Althorp House & Gardens is £129.00 per person based on Twin/Double. Single rooms are very limited, with a supplement of £30.
To secure the booking a deposit of £35.00 by 1st March and the balance is due by 6th May.
