Live art tour along the Thames coast responding to the states of flux associated with movement of rivers and along waterways.
AltMFA, the alternative masters, hold their annual live art tour along the Thames path between Bermondsey and Rotherhithe stations. This year AltMFA artists will respond to the states of flux associated with the constant movement of the river. From the current water-born movement crisis, to the shape-shifting lives of struggling people in the city, the river is both a respite and a threat.
‘Flowing far and swift, taking everything along with it; there is no moment, no instant, no second when it stops flowing, but it goes on flowing and continuing.’ Buddhist Philosophy
Expect actions, subtle site-specific works and live performance from current AltMFA members who intend to intervene on the walkways and waterways along this stretch of the Thames.
Collect your map and look out for the guide at Bermondsey Station at 3pm.
Bring an umbrella and meet the artists on the Thames beach or at the historic Mayflower pub afterwards. More information will be sent out with your booking on Event Brite.
