Dr Eliot Forster holds a PhD in Neurophysiology from the University of Liverpool and an MBA from Henley Management College. He has almost 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. In the past, Dr Forster has served as the Head of EU Development for the EU and Asia at Pfizer, where he was responsible for drug development activities across multiple geographies and brought several drugs to market.
Dr Forster has also worked as Clinical Research Manager for GlaxoSmithKline, Chief Executive Officer of US biotechnology company, Solace Phrmaceuticals Inc. and in 2010, he became Chief Executive Officer of Creabilis. Since January 2015, Dr Forster has served as Chief Executive Officer for Immunocore, and he is currently Chairman of the MedCity project that aims to grow a world-leading life sciences cluster in the south-east of England.
This session provides an opportunity to hear about Dr Forster's experience at the University of Liverpool, and to find out the ways in which his time in Liverpool has benefitted his career. Attendees will also gain advice about pursuing a career in industry after completing their PhD.
Dr Forster will also be taking part in a short Q&A session after his talk and will be introduced by Professor Graham Kemp, Director of the LDC and Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Postgraduate Research).
