Description

Every year as part of Imperial Festival, we invite alumni back to South Kensington for Alumni Weekend. For the second time, we have invited our alumni groups around the world to get involved in the celebrations and hold events in their own cities, alongside the main event in London.

Come and enjoy a picnic by the river and have fun with the dragon boat experience, pedal boats or cycling. ICAAT has arranged a free dragon boat experience for alumni, family and friends. We invite alumni to bring their own food for the picnic and pay on the spot for the rental of the pedal boats/bicycles.

Bitan is a tourist spot in Xindian District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. “Bitan” literally means “green lake”, referring to where the river widens to form the lake. There is a well-known suspension bridge for pedestrians which is a landmark for the Xindian District. The venue has many piers for water activities such as pedal boats, a cycle lane with bicycle rentals, a food street by the river and plenty of green spaces to enjoy picnic with family and friends.

Bitan can easily be reached via Taipei’s metro system. The lake is walking distance southwest of the Xindian Station. Bitan is also well situated next to the Ankeng Interchange of the Formosa Highway. The lake is walking distance south of a nearby car park. Additional car parking spaces are also available inside the Xindian Station.
