For Head Teachers and Senior Leaders with decision making responsibility
The PE and Sport premium funding has enabled schools to improve outcomes for pupils across Physical Education, sport and physical activity. Schools are charged with developing competent movers who enjoy all forms of activity. Many school leaders have shown they can account for the spending and its impact on pupils' softer skills as well as improving participation habits.
However have we carefully thought "am I getting the best out of my premium allocation?"
The workshop will enable Headteachers to discuss some of the following questions:
Is my premium used well to achieve all five key grant indicators?
Can I shape my agreement offer to what my pupils need?
What will I spend the proposed increased premium on?
Have I built sustainability well, given the economic pressures on school budgets?
Few opportunities exist for headteachers to discuss the PE support and provision, and listen to the range of experiences from different schools.
Here is Edward Bear coming downstairs now, bump, bump, bump, on the back of his head, behind Christopher Robin. It is, as far as he knows, the only way of coming downstairs, but sometimes he feels that there really is another way…if only he could stop bumping for a moment and think of it!
