Amanda Saint grew up in Reading and lived in the town until she was 30. Since then she has been moving around often as she has feet that never stop itching. She's worked at the Prudential, as a Communications Manager for Microsoft and is now a freelance features journalist writing about sustainability. She also runs her own Creative Writing business, Retreat West.
Amanda's short stories have been published in anthologies and in literary journals and As If I Were A River is her first novel. It tells the story of three generations of women in one family and explores themes around the lives we end up living - are they the ones we really want or those that just happen to us.
On November 2nd Amanda will be reading from the novel and answering questions from the audience. There will be wine, nibbles and the chance to buy a signed copy of As If I Were A River.
