How much do you really know about the many amazing people that have left their mark on St Helier? We walk past reminders of their work all the time and during this short and easy walk around the town centre Melanie will share many of the intriguing facts and stories behind St Helier's varied and historic facades and the lives of some of the key people who have contributed to Jersey society - like the diarist who records the day a cannon ball fired from Elizabeth Castle that fell down the chimney of a St Helier house where the family were sleeping.(It never went off!)

The walk will start and finish by the King George Statue in the Royal Square.
