- Dogs must remain on a short lead at all times. This helps keep dogs safe and prevents unwanted approaches to other dogs or people.
- Never leave your dog unattended. Dogs should stay with their owner/handler throughout the event.
- Consider your dog’s welfare before attending. If the weather is very hot, or if your dog is nervous, reactive, unwell, or in season, please leave them at home where they will be more comfortable.
- Keep dogs safe in the heat. Provide plenty of fresh drinking water, take regular breaks in shaded areas, and avoid over-exercising. Watch closely for signs of heatstroke (heavy panting, drooling, lethargy, confusion). If you notice these, seek help immediately with the vets on site.
- Respect other dogs and owners. Do not allow your dog to approach another dog without the owner’s consent.
- All dogs must be fully vaccinated. They should be up to date with routine boosters and not show any signs of illness.
- Monitor your dog’s behaviour. If your dog becomes overstimulated, anxious, or aggressive, please take them away from the event site to allow them to calm down.
- Your dog is your responsibility. By booking and attending Amazon Pet Fest, you agree to follow these welfare guidelines and understand that your dog is your responsibility at all times. The number of dogs per adult is limited to two.
