Ambition 2016: Supporting Young People's Health, Wellbeing & Relationships

At a time of political uncertainty and great challenges for young people and the youth sector, join us for Ambition's annual conference and hear from prominent figures under a new government. This conference is aimed at those working with young people, including voluntary and community organisations, local authorities, business and professional bodies.

Programme & Speakers

Ambition 2016 will begin on Monday 7 November with an AGM for members followed by a Seminar Dinner (non-members also welcome) on setting ‘A Positive Agenda for Young People’, with cross-party contributions invited from Ambition Ambassadors Tim Loughton MP and Natascha Engel MP, and Lord Tom McNally.

The theme for the conference on Tuesday 8 November is Health, Wellbeing and Relationships for young people, families and communities, in the design and delivery of services and support from key professionals and volunteers working with young people. The content builds on the collaborative work and partnerships across the youth sector. Please see Seminar Summaries.

Key-note speakers and panel debates include leading national and local politicians, government officials and voluntary sector partners.

Workshops will be led by senior practitioners and partner organisations on the following themes:

  • Mental health and wellbeing
  • Sport and physical activity
  • Social action and NCS
  • CSE and safeguarding
  • Youth justice
  • Troubled families
  • Youth work and communities

Ambition 2016 will present the latest news and insights from renowned leaders of the youth sector and will provide a platform to exchange ideas with friends and colleagues from a diverse network across the country.
