Amble with an Archaeologist at Holmsley Campsite

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn more about Holmsley’s intriguing past; from pre-history to it’s importance as an RAF Airfield during World War 2. There are so many hidden historical treasures to uncover and stories to discover.

This 90 minute relaxed amble around the site and surrounding area covers fairly level terrain across both grass and concrete. All terrain buggies and powered mobility scooters should cope well, although this cannot be guaranteed as ground conditions may change over time and with the weather.

Whilst this event is aimed at adults, there will be a few activities for children to complete along the way if they would like to join in.

Please dress sensibly according to weather conditions on the day. We advise wearing either flat trainers or boots and to bring a drink and any other refreshments you may require.
