On this amble we will explore the archaeological remains of the air crew accomodation area and walk to the edge of the airfield to find the remains of a hanger and the control tower. Along the way, you will hear stories of some of the men and women who were here during WW2.

This gentle 2.5 mile walk follows concrete/tarmac paths to make the route as accessible as possible.

Please ensure your clothing is appropriate for the weather on the day and stout footwear is advised.

Dogs are welcome but must be kept under control as we are likely to pass ponies etc.

Accompanied children are welcome and free of charge.

Parking is permitted at the campsite (as its now the closed for winter), please drive up to the warden's hut. Please note the toilets will be closed.
