Event description

Description

The Ambulance Improvement programme has recently commissioned a gap analysis of current leadership and development programs available and underway within the English Ambulance sector. The aim of the work was to identify areas of good practice, understand the challenges and opportunities in implementing programs in practice and make recommendations to address any training needs.

Some initial conclusions can now be drawn from the work which was helpfully supported by HRDs who generously shared their work and their ideas for improvements. One key finding was the lack of opportunity to share good practice or test out ideas. An area that many trusts were struggling with was in developing measures of success, and it was requested to have a learning event to explore this specifically and to share best practice.

In response to this request we have organised an Ambulance leadership Masterclass. The aim of the masterclass is to share the findings of the review, hear from Ambulance trusts already implementing programmes, understand the conditions needed to develop successful leadership and design and agree a set of success measures which could be applied across the Ambulance sector.

The event will commence at 10:00am (registration from 09:45am) and will conclude at 15:00pm.

Who should attend:

- HR Directors
- Head of Learning and Development
- Consultant Paramedics
- Operational Leaders
- Nominated deputies

We have three places available for each Ambulance trust to be represented.

The agenda for the event is below.
