This event is open to all those involved in the delivery and commissioning of Safeguarding Children’s Training across Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland. (This also includes national providers who deliver within our region.)
The session also welcomes adult trainers and those who support workforces who deliver safeguarding learning.
This session we include:
- Brief update on the competency framework.
- Presentation of Kayleighs Story, and input from CSE lead.
- Focus on disguised compliance. mini 'training for trainers' session.
- Networking opportunitites.
The session will include a mini ‘training for trainers sessions allowing you to share your expertise around disguised compliance and also blocks and challenges in safeguarding work, as well as a demonstration of the exercises and delivery used in the wider sessions, and will support your wider delivery and learning for your own training events. The sessions supports learning and thinking around disguised compliance that may arise with families, members of teams, organisations and also within multi-agency working.
The session will be co-facilitated by Helen Edwards; who has extensive experience in delivery and safeguarding, having worked locally as a child protection manager, head of consultancy at the NSPCC and now is an independent consultant who has worked closely with our safeguarding boards amongst others - and has taken part in serious case reviews and learning events locally.
