Our online one-day interactive course is designed to provide you with the latest legal updates in the field of Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) practice. This one-day interactive online course offers the opportunity to enhance your knowledge of the MHA 1983 and the MCA 2005 by learning about recent legal developments. It will be run on Zoom, with course materials and an attendance certificate available upon request.

Content
In addition to the use of case studies to assist learning, you will be encouraged to identify you own legal and practice issues for discussion. Amongst the areas to be considered will be the following:
- Recent case law;
- Place of safety issues;
- Deprivation of liberty of those under 18 and Tier 4 challenges;
- Interface between the MHA and MCA with regards to admission and discharge (including CTOs).
