Amlwch Harbour Walking Tour

Join me on a circular walk along Amlwch harbour, onto the headland and back to the starting point. The route is approximately 1.5 miles long.

The tour will go ahead regardless of the weather, he only exceptions is if there is a weather warning or the weather is deemed too bad to walk safely along the harbour and headland. Please dress accordingly.

As the tour includes walking over uneven ground (including and not limited to steps and gradients), please make sure that you are wearing suitable footwear (e.g. walking boots).

What do I need to be aware of, along the tour?

We will be walking along a working harbour, with limited barriers along the edge of the harbour and the water. The walk includes walking along a road that has limited paths. On the headland, the ground is uneven. The walk includes part of the Anglesey Coastal Path.

How long will the walk take?

Approximately 1.5 hours - 2 hours. The speed of the group, questions asked etc., will influence how long the walk will take.

Where is the meeting /starting point of the tour?

The meeting/starting point is the car park on Quay Street, near the park, bus stop and in front of the two pubs and chippy. We will be meeting near the seating area, at the end of the car park.

What footwear should I wear?

Suitable footwear for walking on uneven ground and steps (e.g. walking boots). Footwear that is not recommended to wear on this tour, includes and not restricted to: flip flops, sandals and open toed shoes.

Where are the nearest toilet(s)?

Public toilets, near the parking (cannot guarantee when they are opened). Toilets are also available in local businesses (where purchases are made).

How long is the walk?

Approximately 1.5 miles.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are not allowed on this tour, unless they are assistant dogs.

Will the tour be going ahead if it is raining?

Yes. The tour will be going ahead, regardless of the weather. Please dress according to the weather. The only exceptions is if there is a weather warning and high winds.

If I do not turn up on the day of the tour, can I claim a refund?

No, as refunds are allowed up to two days before the tour.

What will happen if the tour has to be cancelled/rescheduled (due to weather, etc.)?

In the unlikely event that the tour has to be cancelled/rescheduled, you will be contacted and the reason behind the cancellation/rescheduling will be given. As much notice will be given, in the unlikely event that the tour is cancelled/rescheduled. Refunds will folllow.
