FAQs

Why Branksome Liberal Club?

You can attend whatever your political affiliation! After several years at the Brunswick we are trying a new venue, after they successfully hosted our speaker event in September.

What can I bring into the event?

The event takes place in the club function room, with access to their licenced bar. We get the room free as they expect to make a profit on their (reasonably priced) bar - so don't bring your own drinks.

Usual pub quiz rules apply - no using mobiles or other devices to find the answers!

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

The organiser can be contacted on admin@amnestyat50.co.uk (but we don't need any marketing advice about how we can promote our event better!)

Is there a car park?

The clubs own car park is minute and very unlikely to have space at the time of the quiz. There is a large public car park in Jubilee Road - a mere 6 minute walk according to Google.

What does register mean? Why does it say "free"?

We are using Eventbrite to ensure we don't exceed the capacity of the function room. So please "register" the numbers attending (and cancel if you cannot attend) and you will be sent tickets to print off (or show on your smartphone).

As we are not charging through Eventbrite (and they are not charging us) it lists as free. But please pay us on the night!

Please contact the organiser if this isn't clear.

Amnesty International Bournemouth, Poole & Christchurch Group

Amnesty International is the world'd largest grassroots human rights orgabisation. We investigate and expose abuses, educate and mobilise the public, and transform societies to create a safer, more just world. We received the Nobel Peace Prize for our life saving work.

Amnesty International does this by investigating and exposing abuses where they happen. By galvanising our global movement of seven million people to intervene where individuals are at risk.

The Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch Amnesty International Group was formed in 1986. We aim to bring awareness to the local population of human right abuses across the world and encourage their participation in Amnesty Internationals campaigns and actions designed to end these abuses.
