Event description

Description

Welcome to Amnesty International’s West Midlands Conference 2017. Now more than ever the world needs people like you to stand up for human rights - and this starts at home.

This event is designed to give you the skills and knowledge to stand up for human rights in your community - whether you are an Amnesty veteran or are completely new to the movement - as well as the opportunity to meet other activists and create a movement in the West Midlands.

The event will include a session led by Kate Allen, the Director of Amensty International UK, on the BRAVE campaign - standing up for those who defend our human rights around the globe https://www.amnesty.org/en/get-involved/brave/

Please note:

- The event will be photographed/filmed. If you do not wish to be photographed/filmed, you can speak to a member of the organising team when registering on the day.

- The venue has good accessibility facilities. If you have any accessibility requirements, please provide details, when prompted, using the booking form.

- While this event is open to all, the conference is aimed at people over the age of 14. Younger attendees may find some of the content upsetting. While those under the age of 18 are welcome to come, you will need to discuss this with your parent/guardian beforehand.

If you have any questions, please email Rose at r.bennett@amnesty.org.uk
