Thu, 20 Apr 2017, 10:00 – Sat, 22 Apr 2017, 16:00 BST
When: 20th - 22nd April 2017
Time: 10.00am - 4.00pm
Tutor: Caron Penney
Level: Beginner - Intermediate
In this exciting and lively three day tapestry weaving workshop students will investigate shape making. The group will be encouraged to learn the basic building techniques which are the foundation for creating all shapes. What is amorphic, it refers to shapes without any identifiable shape, so not an exact circle but a shape that is different like a puddle shape or some other interesting configuration.
By the end of the workshop you will have completed one or two samples. The group will work on pre-warped frames either provided by the tutor or if you prefer you can bring your own frame. There will be a stock of wools available to students, all equipment will be available to borrow. If you would prefer to buy some equipment and wools this will be possible.
This workshop is for four students only and will take place in Weftfaced's own tapestry studio at Mill Studio.
Adults 18 and over only please.
Refreshments of tea, coffee and biscuits will be available throughout the day, however please bring your own lunch, (please note there are no places locally where you can buy your lunch on the day of teaching).
