Event description

Description

Interested in recording amphibians but not sure where to start? Come along to one of Where's Wildlife in Ayrshire's Amphibian training workshops!

This informal course will provide a general introduction to all the amphibians found in Scotland, their ecology, how to identifty them, and how to locate them. After an afternoon classroom session, we will venture out after dark to hunt for some amphibians in the beautiful grounds of Culzean castle. Make sure to bring a torch if you have one!

No previous amphibian recording experience necessary - just a keen interest in nature and an enjoyment of seeing and identifying the wildlife around you.

Each course is free, but any donations to help cover the costs of running the courses would be gratefuly received.

The Where's Wildlife in Ayrshire project is part funded by the Scottish government and the European Union- Ayrshire LEADER 2014-2020 programme. Additional funding source are the Heritage Lottery Fund, and East, North and South Ayrshire councils.
