About this event

The Social Work IPA (SWIPA) Research Network launched in 2024 and continues to welcome members from across the world.

Following a creative and inspiring 2024 series of events, we are excited to welcome anyone interested in Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) for social work research and practice to this 2025 symposium: amplifying social work knowledge and practice through IPA.

The programme will include an update on developments in IPA in social work research along with presentations from researchers across practice areas. We are delighted to announce that we will have two keynote addresses from Professor Rick Hood, Professor of Social Work, Kingston University and Dr Peter Simcock, Associate Professor of Social Work, Birmingham City University.

A full agenda and joining instructions will be provided here to those registered.

Join us and celebrate innovation and amplification in social work knowledge and practice through IPA.
