Now, as a rule, we don’t do cover bands. There are plenty of other places that do. We prefer to programme original music from the most talented singer-songwriters around. That said, we do make exceptions. We dearly love Amy Winehouse and ‘Amy A Tribute’ are one of the top bands in the UK. We are thrilled to announce that they have agreed to plapy for us. The first three sold out very quickly. This will of course sell out too.
Check out the picture and count the number of musicians in the band. Yes, there are EIGHT members, which will be a Temperance record (beating Sam Huber and the American all-stars). They are all musicians with a goal to recreate the sound of Amy Winehouse. Whether it be from her BBC concerts or staying true to her original recordings. They aim to stay true to the sound of the Winehouse/ Ronson style, with a full horn section, including baritone sax & flute and backing singers. Temperance regulars will recognise one of the band as Jon Read (The Specials, Project Blackbird and Sam Huber). This gives you some idea of the calibre of the musicians involved. A top band. And it will be another top night!
