AN ACT OF HOPE AND REMEMBRANCE FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY HATE CRIME

A special service to bring communities affected by hate crime together during National Hate Crime Awareness Week #NHCAW 2017.

The week takes place between the 14th October to 21st October 2017.

17:00 Diversity Choir Rehersal

17:30 Greet Guests on the Steps of St Pauls Cathedral

18:00 Guests take seats under the dome

  • Diversity Choir as people arrive

  • Greeting by St Paul's

  • Bible Reading

  • 2 Short speeches Mark Healey / Rose Simkins

  • Diversity Choir piece

  • Lighting of National Candle of Hope and Remembrance

  • Poetry Reading

  • 2 Short speeches

  • Diversity Choir piece as people leave

18:45 End of Act of Remembrance

19:30 St Paul's Cathedral closes

This year the National Candle of Hope and Remembrance will be lit in memory of MP Jo Cox, and all those killed and injured during the London Bridge, Westminster Bridge, Manchester and Finsbury Mosque attacks.

A retiring collection will be taken in aid of 17-24-30 No To Hate Crime Campaign with any funds raised dedicated to tackling hate crime in the UK.
