Take a tour through seven centuries of unique London heritage. The Charterhouse is both a thriving almshouse with over 40 residents, and a stunning seven acres embracing seven centuries of remarkable lives lived and lost.
Come and discover more about the Charterhouse with a behind the scenes tour led by one of the resident Brothers. These tours are given from the perspective of each individual Brother and therefore no two tours are the same. They provide an in-depth look at the long history of the site and the lifestyle of the Brothers through the centuries and are a unique opportunity to learn more about the nuances of this fascinating historical gem hidden in the heart of London.
The National Churches Trust is delighted to invite you to an afternoon at this very unique and special place. Our group are only members of the public visiting, giving us the opportunity to explore and enjoy the surroundings more fully.
The ticket price includes:
- Access to the Museum and Chapel before the tour on arrival from 12.15pm
- Lunch will be served from 1.15pm
- The tour led by a resident Brother starting at 2.15pm
- The tour will conclude at around 4pm, the museum and shop are open until 4.30pm and guests are welcome to stay until this time.
This event will raise funds for our charitable work supporting churches and chapels throughout the UK.
Thanks to the team and the Brothers of the Charterhouse for helping us to provide this event.
