An Afternoon of Sitar with Wajih Nizami – Free Concert in Nottingham

Himmah, in partnership with New Art Exchange, and sponsored by Tipu Sultan, is proud to present an exclusive Nottingham performance by internationally acclaimed sitar virtuoso Wajihul Hussain Nizami.

Belonging to the 18th generation of sitar players from the legendary Senia Gharana (House of Senia), Nizami’s mastery of the instrument is rooted in centuries of tradition. His career began with his first solo recital at the National Library Auditorium in Pakistan at the age of 13, and since then he has performed at prestigious venues, cultural festivals, and government events worldwide.

Following a highly praised UK tour, this concert marks Nizami’s first performance in Nottingham – a special moment as Himmah launches its new South Asian Heritage and Arts project.
