About this Event

Join the award winning writer of My Name is Leon for a live Q+A in Sheffield Hallam University's library.

Author Kit De Waal was born in Birmingham and raised by an Irish mother who was a childminder and foster carer and a Caribbean father. Before publishing My Name is Leon in 2016 she worked in criminal and family law, and was a magistrate. She also used to advise Social Services on the care of foster children and wrote training manuals on adoption, foster care and judge craft for members of the judiciary.
