Unfortunately, Jacqueline Wilson isn’t able to sign books after the event. However, copies of The Magic Faraway Tree purchased as part of a ticket or at the event will come with a ‘printed’ signed bookplate.

Jacqueline Wilson was a huge childhood fan of The Magic Faraway Tree and wrote about it in her autobiography. She is one of Britain’s bestselling and most loved children’s authors, the creator of Tracy Beaker and Hetty Feather, among many other characters. She has written over 100 children’s books, with sales of over 40 million copies. She has won the Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize, the Children’s Book of the Year at the British Book Awards, is a former Children’s Laureate and was appointed a Dame for her services to children’s literature. She typically writes contemporary or historical realistic fiction about family life and children’s relationships, so a foray into the magical world of the Faraway Tree is something of an exciting departure for her. Jacqueline’s loyal fans love her relatable child characters and accessible, dialogue-driven prose. Jacqueline has brought used this to put her own stamp on a new Magic Faraway Tree adventure, enabling today’s readers to engage with Blyton’s world within a contemporary setting.
